The Fiuza Family

We are the Fiuza Family. I am Kelsimom, and I am from Goiás, Brazil, Adriana is from Paraná, Brazil, and our kids Lukas and Agatha are from Minas Gerais, Brazil.

I have been serving the Lord full-time in missions since 1994 and Adriana since 1993.

We worked at the Evangelism Department at the YWAM base in Contagem, MG, Brazil from 1995 to 2009, and we held evangelistic campaigns in many Brazilian cities as well as in Asia and Africa. We also served in Senegal, West Africa in 2003 and 2004.

I was the director of the YWAM base in Contagem, Brazil from 2006 to 2011 and part of the National Leadership of YWAM Brazil. We have worked in over 30 countries with short-term Evangelism teams.

We have a degree in Pedagogy. I have taken a course to become a Soccer Coach with emphasis on preaching the Gospel and currently I am going through Theology School to better serve the Lord in my calling as a missionary.

We are the founders and leaders of the Indochina Window Project/Southeast Asia, and have missionaries developing ministries in Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand.

We have been in Thailand since 2013 and are the leaders of The Tree of Life Ministry which is part of the Indochina Window.

We are members of the Life Community Church in the city of Guarapuava, PR, Brazil.

“We understand that the Lord called us to be missionaries among the Unreached People Groups (where there are no Christians or only less than 2% of the population is Christian), and our dream and prayers is that each village in our region in Thailand would have a church (group of people) that worships Jesus with all their heart and faithfully fulfill Jesus’ calling for them as a church.”

The Santos Family

We are the Santos Family. We are from Jaboatão dos Guararapes, PE. We are proudly from the Northeast of Brazil. I am Felype and am married to Angélica and we have a daughter named Ana Victoria, our miracle who was born here in Thailand.

We went through DTS (Discipleship Training School) in 2011 at the YWAM base in Sertão Crato, Ceará. Later we went to Curitiba where we did SALT (Staff and Leadership Training School) and SOSM (School of Strategic Missions), and it was there where God called us to go to Thailand to plant churches, make disciples, and expand God’s Kingdom where there are Buddhist tribes and peoples that have never heard of the true savior Jesus Christ.

We came to Thailand in 2013 to pioneer something that was in God’s heart. Little by little the doors started opening, we improved in our language learning (Thai), we were able to enter the schools through activities with the kids, soccer, and English as tools, and we were being prepared for a big step that we would take…

We’ve already been in Thailand for 7 years. We have a work with young Christian believers of the Akha ethnic group, we have a church in the Mae Muang Noi village where every Sunday we worship God together and we are also engaged in preaching the gospel. And by God’s grace today we have a big Community Center where we have a soccer field and a music room which allow us to teach more than just soccer and music skills, but we also teach the kids not to give up on their dreams and to fight for their goals, knowing that when Jesus is with us all things are possible.

During the course of our 10 years of marriage, we have gone through many difficulties, obstacles, and every kind of tribulation and storm in our personal and ministerial lives, but what stands out to us is the power of obedience to God. When we obey God, people surrender their lives, are healed, miracles happen, every kind of blessing is released… our living example is Ana Victoria, our daughter who was begotten not only as a fruit of much prayers or acts of faith… but as a fruit of obedience to God.

ALL THE HONOR AND GLORY TO THE LORD!

Hi, I am Bruna. I am from Fortaleza, CE, Brazil.

In 2008 I did my first missionary training at a YWAM base in Rio Branco, Acre, Brazil. I served with them for almost 5 years and I had the opportunity to work with training and discipleship in Brazil and in neighboring countries, and I also had the opportunity to graduate with a Theology degree from the Betel Theological College in Acre, Brazil.

In 2013 I came to Thailand to serve with a YWAM ministry called Create International where I learned contextualization, video editing, photography, graphic drawing, and painting, and where I served in this field of Media and Visual Arts for 5 years, creating evangelistic materials for unreached people groups in Asia and training people with the same interest in these fields.

In 2018 I moved to the town of Mae Ai and joined The Tree of Life Ministry. My role in the ministry is to coordinate the courses we offer at the Community Center. Besides this I also teach God’s Word, arts & crafts, and English to the kids in the cell groups, churches, and at a local school every week. I am also responsible to keep our social media up-to-date.

My prayer for Thailand is that the Thai people will know Jesus through the love of God that we show while we teach or simply by spending time with them. Love is the reason for everything we do.

The Huamueang Family

We are the Huamueang family. We are a Thai family. I, Chanchai, was born in Phayao. My wife, Pia, was born in Udon Thani. We got married in October, 2007. We have a son named Guitar. He is 8 years old. Our family is a member of the Panchaitong Church, in Mae Ai, Chiang Mai.

I graduated from Chiang Rai Rajabhat University with a major in Community Development. Pia graduated from Bangkok Bible Seminary.

After graduation, I started working with the Community Resource Foundation and lived in Chiang Mai for 1 year, and then moved to Mae Ai, where I worked with Fulllife Development Project, which is a mission about community development as well as evangelization.

In May 2015, I started working with the Tree of Life Ministry, in Mae Ai, Chiang Mai. We pioneered cell groups for children in certain communities, as well as taught football and served the local church.

In May 2020, I went to work in Canada to raise money to support my family and learn more English to be able to serve more effectively, and in the year 2022 I believe that God will bring me back to serve with The Tree of Life Ministry in Mae Ai again.

Now my wife, Pia, a pastor of Panchaitong Church, besides serving in the church, is also serving with The Tree of Life Ministry in Mae Ai.

This is a small part of our story.

It’s very good to be able to share with you about our family.

God bless you.

We are the Cruz family. Renzo was born in Vila Velha, ES, Brazil, and I, Lívia, was born in Bom Despacho, MG, Brazil. We have two kids. Calebe, our firstborn, and Elisa; both were born in Thailand.

In 2008, we both went through DTS (Discipleship Training School) at the YWAM Contagem, and that’s when we started our life in missions. We got married in January, 2009, after graduating, and for a year and half we served at church in Minas Gerais.

In 2010, God guided us to go serve at the YWAM base in Almirante Tamandaré (in the great Curitiba area) and so we did. We moved there and from 2010 through 2013 we worked with training and discipleship. It was a key moment in our lives that would help us in all we would experience later. It was at this base that we received our calling to Thailand, and faster than we could have anticipated God brought us to serve the Thai people.

It was incredible when we stepped foot at the village for the first time, in June, 2013. There we saw that the Lord’s plans for our lives go much beyond all that we can imagine.

So we lived 6 and a half years in this nation. We experienced many challenges, cried many times, and laughed a hundred times more than we cried. God gave us the privilege to be with the Thai people, learn their culture, language, and live near them. We also had the privilege to announce the good news to people who had never heard about Jesus, and it was in Thailand that God gave us the privilege to become parents to Calebe and Elisa.

Today we are members of the Baptist Church in the Ouro Preto region in Minas Gerais, and we have other partner churches that are with us in this journey.

In this year of 2020 we are in Brazil, at the YWAM base in Contagem, MG. This is a year to stay united as a family, strengthen connections and make new partnerships. It’s a time in which our goal is to prepare ourselves to return to Thailand in 2021. When we return we will move to the city of Chiang Rai, which is an hour and a half away from the Mae Ai village. There we will be starting a new work front in the region, with the purpose of reaching new villages and regions in the city of Chiang Rai.

Anyway, this is a small part of our story...

It’s very good to be able to share with you about our family.

God bless you.

The Ferraz Family

We are Adam and Marley Ferraz, full-time missionaries with YWAM since 2007.

We met each other during our time of missions training in Minas Gerais, homeland to Marley, and where I, having come from São Paulo, served alongside her for about 5 years at the base in Contagem, mainly in the ministry of training new missionaries.

In 2011 we got married and after about one month we were challenged by the Lord to start a new base in the rural region of Curitiba. CCL (from Portuguese, Center for Training of Leaders) was born from the desire of serving missionaries who lead projects in Brazil and around the world. We lived in that place five more years with much work and growth in the Lord. We trained missionaries and supported projects from all continents, and we are glad that the Lord has continued this work which we helped begin. However, our hearts have always been for the evangelization of the unreached.

In 2016 we moved to Worcester, South Africa, where we initially went aiming to learn the English language, a foundational tool in this ministry. However, we went on with our hearts leaning toward serving the nations “face to face,” and since then the Lord has been opening the doors to the nations for us. Marley became an English teacher after graduating and I ventured out as a soccer coach in one of the most violent communities in South Africa.

We have also served in São Tome e Príncipe, Angola, Mozambique, and with the Lord’s help we have stretched out our tents toward Asia, having gone first to India, regions in the Himalayans, and finally Thailand.

Everything we have done all these years and all we will still do has been done by the strength of the Lord, which gives us certainty that we’ve been called to create opportunities for reconciliation between the Lord Jesus and the lost, serving Him with our love and strength, for the glory of the King and for His Kingdom.

The Vieira Family

We are the Vieira Family. William was born in Limeira, SP, Brazil, and Pedrina was born in Janaúba, MG, Brazil, and our daughter Eloá was born in Chiang Rai, Thailand.

We started our missionary career in 2012 at the YWAM base at Contagem.

We started preparing ourselves for the cross-cultural field through SOSM (School of Strategic Missions). After a period with many experiences and of practical learning, we had the opportunity to go through SOIP (School of Intercessory Prayer) that serves to work on the character of the intercessor and teaches how to build a foundation of a home of intercessors. Currently we are going through school to become facilitators of oral translation of the Bible for oral people groups, and we are dedicating our focus to end Bible poverty.

We served with The Tree of Life team from 2013 through the end of 2017. During that time we were together with the team pioneering the cell groups and working at schools and churches.

We are preparing ourselves to return to Thailand to facilitate a work of oral translation of the Bible for the people groups of the country and region.

“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” Habakkuk 2:14

As a family we are committed to work to end Bible poverty and as it is written in Habakkuk this is our desire and our prayer, that all the people groups of Southeast Asia will have the Word of God in their heart language.

The Salviano Family

Hi, we are Maronildo, Juliana, and Ana Mel Salviano, a family passionate for Jesus and committed to obeying our calling. We are full-time missionaries with YWAM (Youth With a Mission).

Maronildo is from Maranhão, Brazil, and has been a missionary since 2004. He’s been working on the mission field using his training background as a Soccer Coach and photographer.

Juliana is from Bahia, Brazil, and has been a missionary since 2005 using her educational background as a teacher and English translator.

We’ve been missionaries for 16 years and married for 13 years, and we are parents to Ana Mel who is 6 years old.

The trajectory we lived in missions has consisted of work done around the world, and the first four years were spent in Brazil, Europe, and Latin America.

We invested 8 years in China, understanding the culture, language, and local customs to better share the gospel among the Chinese people.

We already worked in around 13 countries with short-term evangelism teams.

We understand that God called us to be among people groups that have no access to the Gospel.

Today we are members of The Tree of Life Thailand, and are in the process of raising funds to go to Thailand.
